Gengo House Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the iOS app "Gengo House" (the "App"), which is provided by SOZORO STUDIO ("we" or "us"). By using the App, you (the "User") agree to these Terms.

Article 2 (Using the App)
- You must use the App in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- You can use the App without signing up. When you open the App, an anonymous account is created automatically. You may optionally link your account with Sign in with Apple.
- Users under 13 may not use the App. Users under 18 must use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- AI features have usage limits. These limits may change.
Article 3 (Prohibited conduct)
When using the App, you must not:
- Violate any law or public order or morals
- Enter or record content that infringes the rights of others (such as copyright, privacy, or reputation)
- Enter or record other people's personal information without their consent
- Place an excessive load on the App or our servers, or use the App in bulk through automated means
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or other restrictions by improper means
- Analyze, modify, or reverse engineer the App (except where permitted by law)
- Interfere with the operation of the App, or engage in any other conduct we reasonably consider inappropriate
Article 4 (AI-generated content)
- Questions, feedback, hints, suggestions for how to say something, transcripts, and read-aloud audio in the App are generated automatically by AI.
- AI-generated content may contain errors, unnatural expressions, or inaccurate transcriptions. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or usefulness.
- AI-generated content is provided as a reference for language learning and is not educational, medical, legal, or any other kind of professional advice.
Article 5 (Intellectual property)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the App (including software, design, text, images, and audio) belong to us or to their rightful owners.
- Rights in the content you enter or record remain with you. You allow us to process that content, including sending it to external service providers, to the extent necessary to provide the App's features.
Article 6 (Changes, suspension, and termination of the App)
We may change the App, or suspend or end its provision. We may suspend all or part of the App without prior notice in cases such as system maintenance, failures, outages of external services, or other unavoidable circumstances.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- We do not guarantee that the App will fit your particular purpose, that you will achieve the learning results you expect, or that the App will be free from defects or interruptions.
- Data stored on your device may be lost, for example if your device fails or you delete the App. We cannot restore data stored on your device.
Article 8 (Data security)
We take appropriate security measures to protect user data. The details are set out in the "Security measures" section of the Privacy Policy.
Article 9 (Limitation of liability)
Except where the damage is caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for damage you suffer in connection with using the App is limited to ordinary, direct damage that you actually incur.
Article 10 (Changes to these Terms)
We may change these Terms in accordance with the Civil Code of Japan. When we do, we will post the updated Terms and their effective date on this page a reasonable period before they take effect. If you use the App on or after the effective date, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms.
Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
- If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms or the App, the district court having jurisdiction over the operator's location shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
